Dual appointment bolsters Aimbridge EMEA commercial and operations team

Third-party hotel management company, Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA, has appointed two new directors to its operational and commercial teams.

Michelle McArdle has been appointed Commercial Director and Edward Holland has been named new Director of Operations and Quality.

Michelle brings with her more than 15 years’ experience in revenue management and commercial strategy. Most recently, she served as Director of Market Strategy for Marriott International, where she led the revenue management function for a cluster of nine hotels across Scotland and Northeast England.

“I am excited to be joining Aimbridge in a role that aligns so naturally with the progression of my career,” said Michelle.

“Having led the revenue management function while working closely with sales, marketing, and digital teams, I’ve developed a holistic view of commercial strategy and how these disciplines must work in harmony to drive performance.

“I’m particularly drawn to the company’s values around continuous improvement and teamwork, which mirror my own leadership style. This role represents the next logical step in my career – allowing me to take full ownership of the commercial function, lead cross-functional teams, and contribute to strategic growth at a broader level. I’m excited about the opportunity to bring my experience and energy to a company that’s shaping the future of hospitality.”

Edward brings more than 25 years’ experience with him to the role, having worked in multiple general manager roles at properties throughout the UK, most recently as senior general manager at Holiday Inn Coventry, as well as in operational support management for Valor Hospitality.

“I am thrilled to be joining Aimbridge EMEA in what is a very exciting step in my career,” said Edward, adding: “The opportunity to join a management company with values and aspirations that match my own is something I couldn’t pass up. The autonomy to drive the performance of the hotels by ensuring general managers have everything they need to deliver the best results possible is a key factor that attracted me to this role.

The two key appointments follow Aimbridge EMEA’s recent announcement that renowned commercial and revenue management leader Kym Kapadia has joined the company as Senior Vice President Commercial.
