Four new general managers (GMs) have been appointed by Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA to oversee hotels within its UK and European portfolio.
The third-party management company has announced Sandeep Kaushik – who has previously worked at brands including Hilton, De Vere and Mandarin Oriental – as GM of London Twickenham Stadium Hotel. The property joined Aimbridge’s portfolio in April this year and is set to rebrand as a Radisson RED.
Jimmy Sarfraz has been named as GM of Marriot Ghent and Managing Director – Ghent.
Jimmy, who has joined Aimbridge EMEA from New York where he was GM of the Conrad New York Midtown, will also be responsible for providing strategic direction for three other hotels within Aimbridge’s Ghent cluster: Residence Inn Ghent, and the soon-to-open Holiday Inn Express and Suites Ghent.
Additionally, Claire McGinnis – a seasoned manager who’s worked for both INNSiDE by Melia and Valor Hospitality, has been appointed as the new GM of Residence Inn Manchester Piccadilly.
And, Cliffton Borges – who has worked across multiple brands including IHG, Marriott and Hyatt, most recently managing dual sites Hope Street Hotel and School Lane Hotel in Liverpool – has joined Mercure Perth as GM.
David Anderson, divisional president at Aimbridge EMEA, said: “Getting the right general manager in post is key for a hotel’s success and we’re thrilled to have appointed four wonderful candidates who between them have a wealth of proven industry experience and clear passion for hotel management.
“I’m looking forward to seeing their expertise put into practice and the hotels they’re each overseeing continue to flourish under their leadership.”
