Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has been named operator of the prestigious Wyndham Grand Residences in Batumi, Republic of Georgia, expanding its presence in the region.
The agreement will see Aimbridge EMEA – an international division of Aimbridge Hospitality, a leading global hospitality management company and the world’s largest third-party hotel operator – manage the hotel complex ‘Wyndham Grand Residences Batumi Gonio’, which comprises several hotels including the Wyndham Grand Residences Aqua Batumi Gonio; the Wyndham Grand Residences Family Club Batumi Gonio; and the Wyndham Grand Residences Riviera Batumi Gonio.
The properties, which sit in close proximity across one complex owned by European Village, are currently under construction and expected to open spring 2025.
The hotel complex is being developed in the luxury segment, offering All-Inclusive and Ultra All-Inclusive services.
Wyndham Grand Residences is renowned for its best-in-class hospitality and approachable take on great design. It offers a premium, personalised hospitality experience, making it a trusted brand for travellers seeking luxury in both local and global destinations.
Aimbridge signed the technical services agreement for the developments in 2022 and has since opened an office in Batumi, Georgia, cementing its commitment to the region.
David Anderson, Divisional President at Aimbridge EMEA, said: “We’re very excited to be now officially in place as the management company behind this highly anticipated development in Batumi, Republic of Georgia.
“The three Wyndham Grand Residences are all within 900m of each other, stretching from the beautiful coastline and up into the hillside behind, and offer a variety of different accommodation options to suit families, couples and individual travellers.
“We see a lot of potential in the Georgian tourism market, it’s relatively untapped and provides stunning scenery and outstanding hospitality.
“We’re looking forward to bringing the Wyndham Grand Residences to life in Batumi, and to growing our team on the ground, too, with our new office hub there.”
The Wyndham Grand Residences Gonio complex will offer a variety of accommodation options, including one and two-bedroom suites and duplex family rooms in the Wyndham Grand Residences Aqua; studios, apartments and duplexes at the Wyndham Grand Residences Family Club; and three-bedroom townhouses, as well as apartments and duplexes, at the Wyndham Grand Residences Riviera.
The complex will also have eight restaurants, cafes and bars, offering a variety of cuisines, with a rooftop lounge and bar overlooking the Black Sea as part of the Aqua development, and an adults-only rooftop restaurant/café within the Riviera residence.
Additionally, there will be a variety of business and work facilities across all three residences, including coworking space, 150sqm of conference space, and a boardroom.
Families with children will be able to enjoy kids’ clubs, and water sports. A fitness floor with group classes and a yoga room, as well as a physiotherapy and rehabilitation center, is also planned on site.
The complex is set to include 90 infrastructure facilities, strategically designed to ensure year-round occupancy. A key focus will be on providing top-tier medical rehabilitation and wellness services.
Archil Partenadze, General Director of European Village Holding, commented: “Luxury hotels are just beginning to emerge in Georgia, and currently, there are no All Inclusive services in the country, despite the high demand.
“We are immensely proud to introduce the first hotel complex of this scale. Partnering with Aimbridge, the global leader in independent hotel management, is a great honour for European Village.
“The collaboration between Aimbridge and Wyndham Grand, the pinnacle brand of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, brings world-class hotel services to Georgia. This partnership represents a significant milestone in advancing high-end tourism and hospitality in our country.”
