Chris Young, Cluster Director of Sales for Holiday Inn Basingstoke, Reading and Farnborough, has had his hard work recognised on a global stage after becoming the first UK and European representative to win a place on the Interstate VIP Sales Incentive Trip to the Caribbean.

Chris joined global sales leaders from the US in recognition of his contribution to sales within Interstate, spending three days in the Dominican Republic earlier this year.

Commenting on the trip, Chris – who joined Interstate in 2014 -said: “I was thrilled to be chosen to represent the UK and Europe at the VIP Sales Incentive event this year, it was a real honour and I was proud to be selected.

“The trip really emphasised the global connections we have here at Interstate. I spent much-valued time with my US colleagues, sharing expertise and discussing developments within the industry.

“It was a fantastic opportunity and wonderful to have my work recognised internationally.”

Stephanie Pinto, Group Director of Sales at Interstate, said: “Since joining us five-years-ago, Chris has continued to impress us with his work and has become a great ambassador for Interstate.

“His journey started as Sales Manager for the Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham and his talents were soon recognised, climbing the ranks to his current position as Cluster Director of Sales.

“Recognition and celebrating success is very important to us here at Interstate and so we were very proud to send Chris to the Caribbean as part of the VIP Sales Incentive that takes place annually.

“Chris is the first person from the UK and European team to attend the event, and the time he spent out there with his international colleagues is invaluable in further strengthening our global team.”
